Business Administration Apprentice

You will gain a level 3 qualification in Business Administration as well as significant experience in a fast moving IT company, dealing with high profile Government clients. You will learn to deliver effectively, work well within a team, develop project management skills and to demonstrate strong communication, time management and organisational skills.

Business Administration Apprentice role:

The responsibilities of the role are to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, you will contribute to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

The business administrator is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.

The responsibilities of the role will include, but are not restricted to:

  • Provide Executive Support to the Head of HR and HR Administrator as and when required.

  • Keeping well organised files and records of all activity, ensuring administration workstack/dashboard is up to date and appropriately prioritised.

  • Provide excellent customer service and be responsive and supportive

  • Resolve customer queries and requests via the internal helpdesk

  • Building Access – Arranging key cards/fobs/Wifi access 

  • Non-IT Asset Management and procurement

  • Carry out annual Health & Safety Checks and ensuring all H&S procedures are upheld in the office (including maintaining a Covid Secure Environment in line with Government Guidelines) 

  • Future of Working planning and communications 

  • First Aid equipment and employee courses

  • Attend and record minutes for meetings when necessary

  • Leave Management, including recording sickness and flagging any patterns to managers for further investigation

  • Support the HR Administrator in keeping policies and procedures up to date and in line with legislation changes

  • Staff Welfare/Personal celebrations/birthdays and procurement of associated gifts

  • Arrangement of annual group travel insurance

  • Manage all group travel bookings, ensuring we get the best price and efficiently communicate booking information

  • Assistance with award application process

  • Additional administrative tasks required by Invotra Shared Services to support Invotra Group of Companies

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Qualifications to include either 5 GCSEs (grades A-C or equiv including Maths and English) A Levels (Grades A-C) or other equivalent qualifications or experience.
