We are looking for a Software Development Manager for our development team to drive their software management and innovation projects as well as ensure timely delivery of releases. You will be contributing to the continual evolution of our product across multiple platforms and also support our product within our customer’s environments.

Manage and develop the development team.
Work closely with the Devops, Product, customer success and live service teams
Organising resources to manage development and their deliverable
Planning and setting priorities, delegating effectively and managing performance throughout the development cycle.
Coordinate and collaborate across multiple product roadmaps, across multiple sprint teams to ensure technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver projects effectively and within deadlines.
Accountable for the team’s quality, timely delivery, adherence to standards and the project successes.
Ensure the codebase is kept simplified and clean to allow for maintainability
Review systems and process regularly to identify where improvements can be made
Develop KPIs for individual roles and overall team performance that is constantly measured, reviewed and acted upon.
Provide weekly and monthly reporting on all development activities.
Keep abreast of latest technological developments/strategies and implement where appropriate.
Strong experience with managing and leading a team of software developers
Ability to operate under pressure in a multi-skilled, multi-disciplinary dynamic environment.
Strong decision-making skills to be able to digest and process a wide range of information and to make and communicate clear decisions in a timely fashion recognising when to escalate issues
Strong communications skills, ensuring good communications internally and externally.
Experience of delivering large scale projects, distributed across complex scale platforms
Knowledge of API driven development
Knowledge of technology based products and services
Capability to align all teams with proposed solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent knowledge of best practices in modern software development
Rigorous in the application of security and coding best practice
Excellent knowledge of cloud software delivery
Excellent Knowledge of DevOps principles – Continuous Integration (CI) / Deployment Automation / Deployment via Version Control / Continuous Deployment
Be able to foster a collaborative environment that ensures end to end responsibility, continuous focus on customers needs, learning from mistakes and getting teams working together
Passionate and obsessed about coding standards and best practices
Extensive experience of open source software development ideally LAMP and React
Have a data driven / Root cause analysis approach to solving problems
