As a Junior QA Tester you will play an integral role in ensuring both the quality of the product and our biweekly releases. You’ll be writing and executing test cases and in all stages of QA from pre-merge to the bi-weekly live release. You will engage in a range of manners of functional testing with focus on acceptance, smoke and regression testing with scope to engage in non-functional testing such as performance and security testing.
In addition to this, you’ll play a key role in guiding our customers with their own testing, ensuring that any problems they come across are addressed in a timely manner.
Write test cases, preparing test scripts, executing test cases
Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
Review and analyse system specifications
Execute test cases during the development cycle at sprint and release levels and analyse results
Engage in a large variety of testing methodologies including regression, smoke, UAT, performance and more.
Define test cases to cover the acceptance criteria and execute them within a sprint
Identify and report any vulnerabilities and bugs
Help troubleshoot issues
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Recognise routine tasks as learning opportunities and seek ways to improve/automate
1+ years experience as a QA tester in the software industry.
Have a keen interest in technology.

Qualifications to include either 5 GCSEs (grades A-C or equiv including Maths and English),
A levels (to include Technical Qualification grades A-C), Level 3 Apprenticeship or other equivalent qualifications and experience.
ISTQB testing certification preferred
Experience with Jira and/or any Continuous Integration tools preferred
Location – UK Remote with a requirement to come to also work from the office from time to time. South East or Newcastle preferably.
Salary Band – £20-25k
