The list was announced at the National Apprenticeship Awards, which took place on 20 January at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
After a tough selection process the most exceptional employers from all of the National Apprenticeship Awards employer categories went forward to feature in the list, which showcases the breadth of employers who now offer apprenticeships.
Invotra has been working with apprentices for over five years. With around ⅓ of employees as current or former apprentices, the company is committed to continuing to develop their apprenticeship programme to build skills for the future.
Commenting on the company’s entry in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer list, Invotra HR Director Alison Galvin said:
“At Invotra we are absolutely thrilled to be named as a Top 100 Apprenticeship employer, giving recognition for our work with apprentices who have been pivotal to our success.”
“The impact apprentices have on our business is tremendous. Apprentices are fundamental to our future skill requirements and are a great way of developing the talent we need within our organisation.”
“It has been a fantastic learning curve for us as a business and we truly delight in seeing our protégés grow into highly skilled professionals, many of whom are now heading up their own departments and are in charge of high profile accounts at a very young age!”
“We see apprenticeships as a real alternative. Another way for people to get the skills THEY need to develop their career, and recognition of the increasingly important role apprenticeships play in developing the skills WE need.”
Jonathan Lord MP, Member of Parliament for Woking commented on Invotra’s recognition:
“Invotra is one of our most innovative and successful young businesses. It has a terrific track record in hiring and training apprentices and then encouraging them to really flourish in their careers at the firm. Some apprentices have achieved senior roles within just a few years. I wish that even more businesses and apprentices in the South East were able to benefit from high quality apprenticeships in this way.”
Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service commented on Invotra being named a Centrica Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer:
“The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer list 2016 demonstrates clearly the impact apprentices can have on an organisation. Apprentice employers are creating opportunities for individuals to gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed, up to degree level, while working and earning.
“These Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers are making a difference to the lives of their apprentices by investing in their future. In return, apprentices are helping employers to develop a skilled, qualified workforce to build a stronger economy.
“I hope the success of these Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers will mean more businesses across England aspire to follow their example and to find out for themselves how apprenticeships help to grow a skilled and highly qualified workforce.”
