Can you tell us about your role and responsibilities at Invotra?
I work on the live service desk. I handle incidents, which generally consists of responding to communications from our customers, tracking the progress the developers are making, and keeping customers up to date with their current status.
How did your journey begin at Invotra?
After school, I took a year out and started my own dog walking business. I wanted to look into what apprenticeships were available and, as my mum works in IT, Invotra was the obvious choice.
What is important to you when it comes to working culture?
Enjoying your work is very important. I also appreciate working in an open, honest company.
Tell us about a project that you’re working on…
I am doing a level 3 business administration apprenticeship and I’m really enjoying it so far, it isn’t something that I have studied before so it provides a useful insight into what you already experience in a work environment, but it gives names to the processes you didn’t know existed.
What is one surprising/interesting fact that people don’t know about you?
I had a phobia of dogs, which was interesting seeing as I ran a dog-walking business. I essentially trained myself out of the phobia as I always found dogs very cute.
Name one career goal that you would like to achieve in the coming year…
I would like to finish my apprenticeship, I would also like to stay on at Invotra as I am really enjoying working here so far and feel that I will have the space to grow as a professional.
Is there anyone in particular, living or dead, that have inspired you throughout your career progression?
My mum would be the main one, she has instilled a work ethic in me which has been really beneficial in my professional life, and also made me realise how important it is to have a work-life balance.
