Invotra joins big-name sponsors for the Public Sector ICT Summit 2016 on the 1st March, Fenchurch Place. That’s not all, we’re excited to announce that our very own Fintan Galvin will be one of the speakers on the bill for the fifth annual conference. The Summit’s aims is to enable ICT experts from the Government sector to shape the debate about future Government policies.
Fintan will be joined by a gaggle of high ranking civil servants (while a gaggle is not the correct collective noun for a group of civil servants, did you know that a gaggle is an open source software framework for exchanging data between independently developed software tools and databases to enable interactive exploration of data?). They include Stephen Foreshew-Cain, Executive Director, GDS and Mayank Prakash, Director General Technology, DWP.
Fintan will be on the panel discussion just before lunch. He’ll be giving a 10-minute talk on ‘Experiences of an SME in UK Government’ which will then seamlessly move into a session about ‘Implementing change’ alongside Sarah Wilkinson, CTO, Home Office and Steve Walters, CTO, HMRC
Invotra will be delivering a 40-minute breakout session at 2.10pm. With the theme ‘Ideas for Government: The Art of the Possible,’ the session will take the audience through how these new technologies can be brought together to deliver real change in government. Real world examples will be used to help you understand and apply these technologies within their organisation. The session will include technologies and concepts like the Internet of Things (IoT), Building Information Modeling (BIM), blockchain and data sharing.
