Invotra, an enterprise intranet and portal provider based in Surrey, is offering access to GOV.invotra, an intranet specifically offered to Invotra’s UK Government customers. Access to GOV.invotra will be available for free, for the foreseeable future across UK Government.
With the pressure mounting on civil servants and public sector communications professionals, streamlined communications are vital. GOV.invotra has been opened up to support communications and knowledge sharing amongst UK Government employees throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes public sector communications employees from central and local government, as well as members of the health, education and defence departments.

New public sector users who join GOV.invotra will be given access to a private portal in which government organisations such as the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), the Home Office, Department for Transport (DfT) and numerous local authorities already use. Communication professionals from these organisations are using GOV.invotra to share best practices and learnings on their communication strategies in order to create a unified approach to the UK Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Communications, digital transformation and IT professionals from all over the UK are communicating in Invotra Groups, sharing snapshots of their intranets to show the different approaches each organisation has taken to keep its employees safe, informed and connected. This includes which resources are being shared, what designs are being used for knowledge hubs and what support each organisation is offering to staff.
