Salesforce

Providing a seamless login experience with Single Sign On authentication

Salesforce logo

How does it work?

In order to provide a seamless experience and reduce manual processes, Invotra connects with Salesforce to provide Single Sign On (SSO) authentication.

Both internal and external users can access the Invotra platform without the need to remember an additional password, as long as they are logged into their Salesforce accounts.

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is a protocol that is commonly used for SSO. This enables users to sign into Invotra using their Salesforce login. Salesforce is used as an Identity Provider (IDP) and Invotra is configured as the Service Provider (SP). This means that the Invotra platform becomes a connected application within Salesforce.

"One of the key things was figuring out the integration with Salesforce and figuring out if Invotra had done it before or was capable of pioneering that with Sierra Club. It was important to us to have Single Sign On (SSO) across our systems and for our different volunteers bases."
