Evolution of cyber security

On Tuesday I presented a session on the evolution of cyber security and promised to publish the presentation. You will find the presentation attached to this post.

It was a fantastic event that I was delighted to be part of, I cannot recommend enough that if you ever get a chance you must see any of the speakers:

@NCCGroupplc’s Sean Atkinson and Ivan Reedman discussing #hackers perspective when it comes to #SmartCities, seriously awesome and scary stuff. If you ever get a chance you have to go see Ivan Reedman speak.

DS Martin Wilson from NE Cyber Crime Unit @nerccu gave us some fantastic insights into serious and organised cybercrime strategies.

Wonderful to hear @Caddykins10 talking about her CyberSecurity apprenticeship path with @Invotra

@WaterstonsLtd’s Stew Hogg talking about the human factors to consider in #cybersecurity

“On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a toaster.” @andy_ward on managing security of #IoT and #BIM

Jonnie RussellJohn Morahan  and Vlad Zlatanov did a great live hacking demo.

I did make a couple of minor updates to the look and feel as my new laptop broke broke the night before (when all presentations are written) and I did not get a chance to update the style until after.

I also made an update to include http protocol as I missed it which Andy Ward (https://twitter.com/andy_ward) pointed out to me so this is now included in 1989 * 1997 slides.

Thanks a million to @digitalleaders for running the whole cyberweek.
