This month, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Invotra’s ‘enABLE Lab’, an accessibility lab situated at our HQ Woking office. The lab is dedicated to raising awareness and replicating the experiences that accessible software users face.
Secondly, we are pleased to share our latest guest interview with Ian Hutchinson, Strategic Alliances Senior Manager at Rackspace. The interview highlights Rackspace’s passions, strategies, their relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their partnership with Invotra.
Finally, Invotra is attending two upcoming events, Digital Government 2019 and Intranet Now 2019. Included below are all the details you need for both events.
The purpose of the enABLE Lab is to create an environment in which we are able to provide Invotra’s workforce (and any other interested parties) an environment in which we can continue to align and educate ourselves on the importance of accessibility.
One of the hardest aspects of creating accessible software is the difficulty faced in replicating an “accessible experience”. Accessibility is a very wide topic and requires you to adopt an inclusive mindset, it was partly this issue that we wanted to address with the enABLE Lab. Invotra wants to provide anyone with the opportunity to log on to their laptop and use software and equipment which replicates the experience of an accessible software user.
The enABLE Lab has been a resounding success. Just recently, Invotra’s head office was visited by the Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills, Rt Hon Anne Milton MP. Anne met with Léonie Watson, accessibility engineer, member of the W3C advisory board and co-chair of the W3C Web Platform. Léonie is an accessible software user who walked Anne through her experience at the lab.
This month we have the pleasure of sharing our latest guest interview with Strategic Alliances Senior Manager, Ian Hutchinson, from Rackspace.
The interview highlights Rackspace’s passions, strategies, their relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and their partnership with Invotra.
Ian is a successful team-focused professional with more than 15 years experience in the IT industry. His skills include developing partner/alliance strategies, delivering IT transformation programs and projects, vendor contract negotiation and business management.
The Invotra platform is built on AWS (Amazon Web Services) utilising the expertise of Rackspace Managed AWS Services to ensure that it’s using world class standards with security at the forefront of its design.
Invotra is thrilled to not only be attending the best conference for comms and intranet people but also to be a platinum sponsor and exhibitor at the event.
Our Key Accounts Manager, Jamie Garrett, is particularly looking forward to the day, as he will be delivering the keynote speech on ‘working together to give 90,000 employees a voice’.
Jamie will be demonstrating the power of giving an organisation’s most important asset, employees, a voice. Through collaborative learning, sharing best practices, and giving users a platform to share what matters to them, he will discuss how organisations can reap a wide range of benefits, transforming the way employees work.
